Wholesale Terms & Conditions


To qualify for wholesale, corporate &/or bespoke prices, we have a minimum order quantity of 20 bars or a £100 order value if additional products are requested. 



All wholesale orders are allocated a discount based upon the quantity/value of the products ordered. Discounts range from 30% (white label) to 40%.



As a small business, we're unable (at this time) to offer free samples. 



All orders should be made via email to sales@themanchestersoapcompany.co.uk  Please ensure you list the items you would like to order along with the required quantities. 



We generally carry good stock quantities across our range and are able to meet your order quickly. However, please understand that our products are handmade in small batches and some products may occasionally be out of stock due to high demand on our website or at Artisan Markets. Out of stock products can take up to 6 weeks to become available (this is the time taken for our soaps to 'cure'). 

Once we confirm your order we will give you the estimated shipping date along with the date any out of stock items will be available to ship.  



We provide the recommended retail price with confirmation of your order and this is based on our own retail prices. We kindly request that our stockists do not sell our products below the recommended price as our products are very competitively priced. 



As a small company, we politely request a 50% deposit based on your total order value. In the event of an order cancellation this portion will not be refunded.

Once we have your order ready for dispatch, we’ll send you a separate invoice with the remaining 50% cost of your order plus shipping costs and your order will be shipped once this is paid in full. 

Wholesale orders are payable via Bank Transfer and our bank details will be on your invoice.



Orders are shipped using Royal Mail or Parcelforce tracked/signed for services and the rate is calculated using the weight of the parcel and the destination. Once we receive your order, your shipping costs will be calculated.

All liability for the loss of a delivery will be limited to the replacement of the products, or to a full refund of the invoice value.

Occasionally, we may deliver your order in person. In this instance, no shipping costs will be incurred. 



It’s very important to us that your order arrives in perfect condition but items may occasionally be damaged during the shipping process. If this happens, please notify us via email within 3 days and include images of any damaged products. All damaged products will be replaced (or refunded if out of stock) and we will cover your shipping expenses for their return. 



Our soaps are lovingly handmade in small batches and we occasionally alter the design of our soap bars depending on the techniques used during the manufacturing process. Any product variation (look, colour, shape, scent and/or weight) is a natural element of handmade products and should not be considered as grounds for a replacement or refund. 



Please note that in the UK, our products are classed as cosmetic products. We hold Cosmetic Product Safety Reports (CPSRs) across our product range and have uploaded these to the UK SCPN (the cosmetic portal for the UK) and we remain the 'responsible person' for all our products at all times. The label we provide must remain in place as, by law, the information on the label must be available to all customers at the point of sale. 

When displaying our handmade soaps, please ensure that they do not come into contact with any metal surfaces. 

Soaps scented with essential oils will fade over time, particularly if left on display. Please only order a quantity that you feel you are able to sell within a 6 month period of time. 



It's very important that our products are kept in a cool, dry environment to ensure they remain in tip-top condition. Warm, damp and/or humid conditions can damage handmade soaps. We recommend keeping any stock that isn't on display in airtight cardboard boxes.



If you’d like to have your own branding on our soaps, we’re happy to create labels for you or you can send us your design and we’ll create the label for you. This applies to business orders, corporate gifts, wedding favours, baby shower gifts, etc.

  • Private Label: We’ll replace our logo with your logo with the wording "by The Manchester Soap Company" written below. The sides and the back of the label will remain the same.
  • Custom Labels:  We’re happy to fully customise the front of the label for you (e.g., name of bride & groom plus wedding date, name of the baby/due date, etc.) Our standard wording (ingredients, batch number, etc., will remain on the sides and back of the label

If you'd like a personalised soap stamp with your company logo, wedding date, event date, etc., on your wholesale soap bars, we're happy to provide this service. This will incur a one-off fee of £25-£35 (dependant upon design) for each stamp that you require. Please note that the maximum discount for 'white label' orders is 30%.



Wholesale stockists are free to download and use product images from our website and/or social media. If you need copies of the original photographs for your publicity materials, please contact us at manchestersoapcompany@gmail.com and we'll be happy to provide these to you.
